Payment informationWe accept a number of different payment methods to suit the individual needs of our customers.
PayPal is a fast, efficient and safe method of payment. Whenever possible, we strongly prefer that you use PayPal to make your purchases. You may use PayPal to make payments to J-bidders or many thousands of other vendors around the world. Once you have signed up with PayPal you can make repeated purchases without entering your credit card or bank information again. If you haven't signed up with PayPal yet, click on the logo above and follow the instructions which will lead you through the sign-up process. PayPal also handles our credit card payments, we accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Paypal orders are processed by PayPal on their own secure site, and VERISIGN handles all credit card processing on their secure site. There is no safer way to make transactions on-line, please use PayPal to pay for goods or add credit to your account whenever possible. We accept PayPal payments in US Dollars, Pounds Sterling and Japanese Yen.
Payment through a UK bank account
This payment option is available to residents of the UK or British citizens residing overseas who hold a bank account in the UK. Payment may be made by cash remittance, personal cheque or bank transfer. We regret that we cannot accept International transfers or amounts over the equivalent of 300,000 yen.
International Money OrdersWe accept International postal money orders from certain countries to deposit funds into your J-bidders account. However due to the length of time these take to process they are often not a viable option for paying for the balance of your goods as we usually require full payment within 3-4 days of the end of the auction. Please contact us if you wish to use an IMO.
Telegraphic transfersWe recommend the use of telegraphic transfers (TTs) as a method of payment for expensive items, particularly used cars from J-bidders auto. There is a standard 2500 yen bank fee per transaction for this service (your bank will more than likely also charge a fee). For this reason we don't encourage TT's for small purchases, however some of our regular customers use them to set-up a 'pre-paid' account (see 'deposits' below) which allows them to purchase multiple items without having to send individual payments for each item. If you wish to make a deposit to your J-bidders account by TT please contact usand we'll send you instructions. For customers purchasing a car we request that you send payment by transfer within 48 hours of receiving the final bill and fax us the confirmation from your bank. For more detailed information about our auto auction service please visit J-bidders auto. Please note that we are only able to accept bank transfers in Japanese Yen.
DepositsBefore bidding on any items in Yahoo! Japan auctions please ensure that you have sufficient funds in your J-bidders account. We request a deposit of at least 50% of the estimated final bid price of the item(s) you wish to bid for (minimum $20). We ask that you adhere strictly to this, any bids made without sufficient deposit will be subject to cancellation which will result in negative feedback on your Yahoo! account. Please bear in mind that all payments made through PayPal are subject to a 4% handling fee, this includes the deposit, therefore if the funds in your J-bidders account cover 100% of the total bill you save by only paying the handling fee once. Funds in your J-bidders account are refundable, however we can only process a refund to a PayPal account, there is no fee for this. Please refer to J-bidders auto for information about deposits for auto purchases.
Further informationYour J-bidders account will be held in the currency with which you make your initial deposit and you will subsequently be billed for your purchases in that currency, however you are free to change your billing currency at a later date if you wish. You will receive more information about your J-bidders account and our payment system when you sign-up.Please don't hesitate to contact us at any time if you have any questions about this or any other topic.
